Starting Sunday, August 30, and likely continuing for the whole Fall Quarter of Pilgrim’s Sunday School Year, the Sunday Adult Bible Class will focus on what has been titled “Biblical Considerations Related to the Coronavirus”. We will discuss such things as knowledge and vocations; the priority of the Commandments; Church and State; pestilences’ role in calling people to repentance; wrongful and rightful fear in view of faith; witnessing to eternal life; Christian Freedom; and those who are strong’s bearing with those who are weak. And, we will discuss such things mindful of God’s law that condemns our sin and His Gospel that forgives our sin by grace through faith in Jesus Christ Who died on the cross for our sin.
Within that same time frame, one or more sessions of our Sunday Adult Bible Class may continue our “occasional” study “Lutheran Doctrine and Practice Today: A Study Based on Scripture and the Augsburg Confession”.
All are welcome to join us Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m. for Refreshments and then at 9:30 a.m. for the Class, either in-person or via the telephone or Zoom. As possible, handouts and audio are posted below before and afterwards, respectively, in order for those unable to attend to participate live or to stream or download and so to listen at their convenience. Those participating online only by streaming or downloading are welcome to submit questions using the contact information at right, and we will attempt to address those questions during the run of the course.
