Pilgrim Lutheran Church’s Sunday 2015 School Rally Day is set for September 13th. As children have begun their new school year in the community, so the Sunday School children begin their new year that day. Some children may change classes in which they participate when Sunday School begins that morning at 9:30 a.m., and all children will receive certificates as part of Rally Day activities before the Divine Service that begins that morning at 10:45 a.m.
Pilgrim’s Sunday School uses the “Growing in Christ” traditional classroom Sunday School material from The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s Concordia Publishing House. That curriculum is intended for the children to grow in their faith towards God with their same-age peers, as they cover all the major Bible stories once every three-years.
Pilgrim’s Sunday School classes are temporarily being held in the Church Office, Pastor’s Study, and Conference Room/Library of the recently-remodeled old Parish Hall, while the new Parish Hall with four new Sunday School rooms is constructed. The Groundbreaking for that new building is scheduled to come at the end of the same Divine Service on Rally Day.
